The lost scripture

This morning after cleaning the ladies toilet in the church , I proceeded to take the mop, cleaning detergents and other things to the store before making my way home. Just as I was about making my way out of the church I noticed a bible verse on the wall that looked very strange to me, Matthew 6 vs 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness , and all these things shall be added to you.
Why did this verse look strange to me ? I do not know , Am I a baby christian ? Maybe , do I read my bible at all ? I try my best daily ,then why did it look strange ? Because people around me no longer quote it ! It used to be very popular while I was growing up , the Sunday school teachers will teach on it , the pastors would preach about it, you will see it in almost every christian literature .Today what I hear is Psalm 35 vs 27 ,let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; and let them say continually , “The Lord be magnified , Who delights in the prosperity of His servant” .I hear Philippians 4 vs 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me , I hear Philippians 4 vs 19 and my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus . Amen and Amen.
Although I am part of the evangelical team at church , we quote few scriptures, the most popular one is John 3 vs 16 . This morning I suddenly realized that we are after what the Lord can offer not the Lord Himself, we are after the gifts not the the Giver of good gifts as Matthew 7 vs 11 describes our Father in heaven . There is a lot He can offer and the bible is filled with stories of what He had done . Malachi 3 vs 6a says He does not change , The same God was during the days of Elisha, Moses and Peter is still the same God today. He can destroy all your enemies in a single moment . He destroyed all the Egyptians that chased the children of Israel and the bible records it in Exodus 14 vs 30 that the Lord saved Israel that day of the hand of the Egyptian, and Israel saw the Egyptian dead on the seashore. He can perform instant healing aside progressive healing for example the ten lepers in Luke 17 vs 11-19 had progressive healing. Jesus told them to go and show themselves to the priest and as they went their healing started and by the time they got to the priest they completely whole , Luke 17 vs 14b says and so it was that as they went , they were cleansed. I am talking of Instant healing like the case of the Paralyzed man in Mark 2 vs 1-12 . This man was paralyzed from head to toe ,it took four men to carry him to Jesus .Immediately Jesus told him in Mark 2 vs 11 to arise and take his bed and go home the bible said the man stood up immediately. He could create a turn around in ones situation like the case of the widow of the sons of prophet in 2Kings 4 vs 1-7 . Who went from total lack to abundance within one hour.
He can do a lot but remember God is not a sugar daddy , he is to be feared and revered .Some of us have forgotten that we are only on this earth for a very brief period. We live as if we will be here forever and neglect the important things. The story of Heaven and Hell is no longer preached because the thought of hell is horror , we will rather talk about pleasant things like prosperity -God blessed Solomon so much He was the richest man on earth. God wants all his children to know about heaven and hell because there is a place called heaven and hell. He wants them to know about the horrors of hell so that they can live right . We will not take anything to heaven , we will leave all our aspiration on earth, the thought of buying a house, car, marriage,giving birth , winning the champion league cup on earth.
Many of us still take Him for granted, When we are fasting we are quite and sober. We do not indulge in any unholy conversation , we run from sin because we want our prayers to be answered but once we get the results or after the fasting we go back to our usual ways. Do we think the Lord is blind? 2 Chronicles 16 vs 9 says the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. What a fool you have been! From now on you will be at war”. We call ourselves Christians and still harbor unholy thoughts in our hearts , Jeremiah 17 vs 10 “i the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve”. We say with our mouth we love Jesus but actions says otherwise. An adage says action speak louder than words , John 15 vs 17 says He said to him the third time, “Simon ,son of Jonah, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because He said to the the third time, “do you love me?” And He said to Him “ Lord , You know all things; You know that I love you.” Jesus said to him,”FEED MY SHEEP.
What has happened , what has gone wrong to the extent we now we feel comfortable in sin. Because we are desperate to be in a relationship and get married , we go into pre-marital sex just to keep the relationship. Who told you the man or the woman will stay after the sex ? We can not continue to live as if Christ did not die or as if God is not watching . Revelations 22 vs 12 says “Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. Joshua 1 vs 8 says that this book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous , and then you will have good success. For our Long will we pretend and hide our faith in Jesus? Isaiah 60 vs 1 – Arise, shine ! For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
The bible has not changed! God still expects all His children to live holy , 1 Peter 1 vs 16 for it is written: “ Be holy, because I am holy”. We can not value people’s opinion over God’s opinion . God should always take precedence . He is our source. God knows our needs even before we ask no wonder He said in Isaiah 65 vs 24 that before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
Someone might read this and question why God who was suppose to be good, be bad and send people to hell. God did not create hell for humans actually the bible says there is Joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent – Luke 15 vs 7 . Hell was created for Satan and his angels , He did not create anyone for hell but the decision is ours. God is more important than the things we are chase. He wants you as you are, He wants to turn sinners to saints . Although He hates sin , God loves the sinners . The reason many of us do not want to give our life to Christ is because we feel we do not worth it . We think we have disappointed Him and do not deserve His mercy . You deserve His mercy , He said if our sin is as red as crimson , He will make up us clean as wool – Isaiah1 vs 18 .
The kingdom of heaven is the sit of God where there is no weeping and gnashing of teeth. Moses sought the kingdom of God by moving his tent far from camp. Exodus 33 vs 7 says Moses took his tent and pitched it outside the camp,far from the camp, and called it the tabernacle of meeting . Moses did not see God until He moved his tent far from the people. Romans 12 vs 2 says do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is- his good, pleasing and perfect will . Ezekiel 14 vs 13 -14 “son of man , when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness , I will stretch out My hand against it ; I will cut off its supply of bread , send famine on it , and cut off man and beast from it. Even if these three men , Noah, Daniel , and Job ,were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” say the Lord , God. If God were to destroy this world , will your righteousness save you ?
The bible said in Romans 3 vs 23 that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6 s 23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The gift was explained in John 3 vs 16 , For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. What shall we do to be save ? The bible says in Romans 10vs 9 that if you confess with your mouth , Jesus is Lord , and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10 vs 10 – For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that you confess and are saved.
Pray this prayer from your heart today!
Dear Jesus , I believe that You died for me and rose again on the third day. I confess I am a sinner. I need your love and forgiveness. Come into my heart . Forgive my sins. I receive Your eternal life. Confirm You love by giving me peace, joy and supernatural love for others, Amen.

God has a sense of humor

Wow! How can one make such a statement?
Friends, God is not a comedian and he does not tell jokes- that’s more like it, but what do you mean by God has a sense of humour then?
Well, might I implore you to suspend your judgments and opinions on my topic just for a second? Will you? Cheers!
Couple of years back, the children of Israel were going to war with a town called Jericho. The ONE WHO HAS NEVER LOST A BATTLE picked interest in the war and advised Joshua to march around Jericho for six days with priests playing trumpet and on the seventh day repeat the exercise seven times and shout; awesome. What! You mean they were asked to march around a city they wanted to attack, playing trumpets? Common, I thought if you going to war you need to be tactical which means plan on strategies to attack. Strategies that include hiding and attacking when they least expect not match around the city playing trumpets, trumpets of all instrument not even a flute.
Ok, doing this once is understandable at least the enemies will have this impression that these guys don’t really mean any harm-look at them entertaining us, but doing that for six days and on the seventh day repeat the exercise seven times and shout? Guess what! They did just that and what happened? The walls of Jericho collapsed. I bet the next time someone says praise the Lord; your HALLELUJAH will be the loudest. Hallelujah collapses the walls of your problem.
Not too long ago, Elijah was advised by the GREAT PROVIDER to go a widow in Zarephath and stay there during famine. Really, who goes to a widow’s house to stay during famine? A widow normally is not very rich; no man to provide and cater for her not to talk of during famine. Let me ask you a question, someone who is struggling on a normal day will pray for recession in it? Capital no.
Anyway Elijah obeyed. When he got to Zarephath he saw the widow gathering sticks to prepare the last meal for herself and her son. Elijah did not know how to go about it because as a man of God you pray for people every time and you understand what it is to be a widow not to talk of coming to stay with one during famine. After he exchanged greetings with her, he requested for a jug of water put it in mind that it has not rained in months. The widow said ok, she turned around to go and fetch him a jug of water. Elijah said in a low voice “can you add small bread please”. I believe if you were in his shoes, you will not tell a widow during famine to fetch you jug of water with bread with a big grin on your face. Will you utter such words with the great enthusiasm? She turned around pretending not to be angry and said the sticks over there are more my last meal. Actually when you came in I was preparing to go and make my last meal for myself and my son
and die, so do you still want the water or not? Ok she didn’t ask if he still wanted the water but asking will not be rude because as a man on God, he should know better- you know I have enough problems as a widow and you are asking me to prepare my last meal for you. To cut the long story short she complied with the man of God and the GREAT PROVIDER multiplied the bread. I hope you are not planning to stop paying your tithe because of recession or half your offerings the next time you go to church.
Recently, a blind man encountered JESUS CHRIST .He was expecting a miracle from him but the next thing he heard was someone spitting on the ground and making mud. I bet, the thought on the blind man’s mind was did I just hear someone spit? I know it can be Jesus, why will he spit on the ground .Wait a minute, is he actually rubbing mud on my eyes? It must be a dream.
Come to think of it , mud don’t have healing properties, even our eyes are built to shut when a foreign object is coming to too close may be spec of sand or something. Spitting on the ground and making mud of it and rubbing it on a blind man’s eyes, you mean Jesus actually rub mud on a blind man’s eye? He must have a great sense of humour. Well guess what, the man got his sight back!!!
We can go on and on, is it Elijah and prophet of Baals? After flooding the altar with water called for fire from heaven to burn the sacrifice or Elisha who threw a stick in a river expecting the axe head that mistakenly fell into water to automatically float .A stick to float an axe head made of iron?
Friends whatever God has asked you to do, just do it because he means every word. It might sound funny, ridiculous, foolish or counter productive .Please just do it and you will reap the reward of obedience.
If you have not giving your life to Christ, it’s not too late. He will forgive all your sins, did I hear ALL? Yes all. Once you do so join a living church.

Role Model

I greet you all in the name of the almighty God.
A role model is a person who serves as an example , whose behavior is emulated by others.With humility i ask , who is your role model or whose roles do you model your life after ?Is it movie stars or pop stars or celebrities or your parents ,is it a pastor or prophet or Jesus Christ ?
I am not condemning pastors or prophets or men of God but it is important to model our life after our savior(Jesus Christ). It is a shame in today’s world that most of we Christians model our lives after pastors. We want to be like our church pastors and not Jesus – the author and the finisher of our faith. No wonder our pastor’s enemies becomes our enemies even when the so called enemies are true believers. It is a shame that we have turn pastors to our yardsticks for righteousness , if our pastor dresses in a certain way then it is ok to dress in that way, if our pastors talk in certain ways then it is cool to talk that way when the bible says in 1 peter 1:16 ‘be holy for i am holy’ not be holy for pastor is holy.
Some of us do not even check the bible anymore , what ever pastors says is what the bible says when the book of Psalms 119:11 says ‘ your word i have hidden in my heart, that i might not sin against you’ and not the word of pastors. I am sorry to disappoint you but the fact that your pastor dresses in a certain way do not mean it is accepted by God.The fact he or she says things on the pulpit do not mean God has commanded it . The fact that a woman of God wears an high heel shoe,has a fixed nails like an eagle and dresses like she is just coming from a magazine photo shot or a man of God with an earrings do not mean it is right.The bible says in 1 Samuel 16:7 that the lord does not see a man as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance but the lord looks at the heart. I can imagine whats in the heart of a pastor with earrings ,definitely not to glorify God but glorify himself or pastor with nails like an eagle, i can tell you, its really not easy to hold bible pages with such nails.
I appeal to you friends, Jesus should be our only role models not humans. The only way to be holy is to model ourselves after what the bible says not pastors .Most pastor preach about prosperity, healing, breakthrough , deliverance ,happiness and what God can do but not the condition ,and the condition is be a friend of Jesus. God has the power to do mighty things but for his sons and daughters.Exodus 15:26 says if you diligently heed the voice of God and keep his commandment you will be disease free because he is the only healer. Exodus 19:5- if you keep his commandment you shall be his special treasures.Exodus 23:22-if you obey his words ,your enemies will be his enemies.Matthew 11:28 -come to me , all you who labor and heavy laden and you will find rest for your souls.
If you have not giving your life to Christ , it is not too late .If you have giving your life to Christ but you are still living in sin please make amendments with your creator.
If you have not giving your life to Christ, it’s not too late. He will forgive all your sins, did I hear ALL? Yes all. Once you do so join a living church.

Do not worry about tomorrow

Matthew 6 vs 34 – Therefore do not worry about tomorrow , for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for today Is its own trouble. The bible talks of God’s thoughts towards us in Jeremiah 29 vs 11 as thoughts of peace , and not of evil, to give us an expected end or a hope and future. God has always wanted a relationship with his children . The bible says in Revelations 4 vs 11 that all things were created for His pleasure in other words He created us because it pleased Him. The book of 1 John 3 vs 1 says behold, what manner of love the Father has bestowed up on us, that we should be called the children of God.
As a Father , the Lord wants the best for all His children. According to Psalm 35 vs 27, He delights in the prosperity of His own. From time to time , He gives His children a glimpse of their future . Many a times , they are hard to comprehend and look impossible .For example the Lord told Gideon in Judges 6 vs 13 -14 that He has given the Midianites to him, all he needed to do was just gather an army to go and claim victory. Gideon gathered thirty thousand men to fight against the Midianites. On his way to war , the Lord of Host decided to trim Gideon’s army from thirty thousand to three hundred. His faith began to shake , three hundred men against a nation? God knew that Gideon was struggling so he told him not worry that He was just trimming down the army because He did not want the soldiers to think they won the war by their hands and besides some of the soldiers were afraid -Judges 7 vs 1-7. By the time Gideon got to close his heart sank, the Midianites came with the Amalekites and all the men of the east. They were going to fight an army as numerous as locust and their camels were without number, as sand by the the sea shore – Judges 7 vs 12 . There was no faith left in Gideon , the Most High had to tell him to go to near the camp of the Midianites to hear what the Midianites were saying about the war just to help His faith – Judges 7 vs 8-16. This did not work so the Lord advised him to take his servant Purah with him to the camp just to encourage His faith.
When Jesus told Peter in Matthew 16 vs 18 that He was going to build the church on him, he was shocked and afraid just like many are afraid of becoming a minister of God. Jesus was putting the efforts of three years into the hands of Peter. When you look at Peter and the picture Jesus was painting ,it was miles apart . When it comes to praying , the last person you will consider as a prayer partner was Peter , Jesus had to scold him in Luke 14 vs 37 that he could not pray for an hour. Peter had failed in the only vocation he knew. All he knew to do was fish,and he even failed at that -Luke 5 vs 5 .He lacked leadership skills , Jesus was trying to encourage his disciples that they will be made to stumble but they should be strong in Matthew 26 vs 22-32 ,He said not me ,all may forsake you but not me trying to talked down on his colleagues. Peter was very violent and aggressive. Peter could not go out without carrying a sword. When they came to arrest Jesus , he took out a sword and cut someone’s ear – John 18 vs 10. Imagine Peter , the leader to be carrying sword around with him to defend himself. Sometimes the Lord tells us our future and we disagree . Such was the case of Peter, a man who could not go out without carrying sword to a minister of the gospel . Sarah was not trying to be rude when she laughed, actually she was filled with anger. When the visitors said she was going to be a mother at age of ninety – Genesis 18 vs 11.If the food was nice then a compliment would have sufficed not a promise that she was going to give birth. The bible described Sarah’s womb as dead in Romans 4 vs 19 and to look at such an elderly woman and tell her she would be a mother again could make her angry.
The reason why Gideon did not get angry when he was called a mighty man of valor was because he was been addressed by an angel. How can you call a man who the bible categorically stated that he was threshing wheat in the wine-press to hide from his enemies ( Midianites) a mighty man of valor – Judges 6 vs 11-12. A mighty man of valor , a man who who by all imagination was a coward. Imagine someone who could not look into the eyes of his fathers brethren been asked to go in his mighty hands to deliver a nation. The Lord asked Gideon to take out all his father’s idols in Judges 6 vs 25-31 . Gideon was so scared he had to take ten of his servants along with him in case something happened. The bible said out fear he carried out this task by night. Immediately he finished he ran away. By the time the men of the city came to his house he was gone, the poor father had to defend him. By now you will have an idea who Gideon was . When Elisha told the King of Israel that in the 24 hours there will be abundance ,the officer whose hand the king leaned on said if the Lord open the windows of heaven that was impossible – 2Kings 7 vs 2 . One could hardly blame the officer ,because the famine was so severe. The children of Israel suddenly became cannibals. The rich were eating bird dropping and the poor who could not afford anything resulted to eating their children -2 Kings 6 vs 25-30.
God delivered the Midianites and the host of the Amalekites into the hands of Gideon. Gideon ended up as man who a whole nation began to beg to rule them because of his bravery. Today we remember Gideon as a judge of Israel not a coward who could not look into people’s face. When we talk of Peter , what comes to mind is Acts 5 vs 15, a man so anointed that his shadows healed the sick not the disciple with the disciples who could not go out unless he carried a sword with him in case something happened. The country Israel is a proof that Sarah actually became a mother . Israel enjoyed abundance just has Elisha had prophesied. That which the Lord has promised , He will bring it to pass. That vision or dream He showed you will surely come to fruition. It might look difficult or impossible,you might take an inventory of the resources at your disposal or your location or your age or the medical reports or your past achievements and conclude that the dream will not com to pass , but I can assure you that God will fulfill that which He has promised. You will give birth, you will get married, that business will not fail, that ministry will touch the whole world,you will not die ,you will live to give testimony about your healing in the name of Jesus, Amen .
That plan of God for your life will surely come to fruition. The Lord said in Isaiah 46 vs 11 that as far as He has said it , He will bring it to pass. As far has He has purposed it , He will do it. No one can stop God, not a man ,not a demon talk less of any power . The Lord that made Sarah to conceive is still alive. The bible calls Him the Unchangeable in Malachi 3 vs 6a . It does not matter the no of oppositions of you have in that place of work just hold on to the word of the Lord. The Lord who promised you a child is so powerful He can bring children out a rock according to Luke 3 vs 8 . The One that has promised to fight for you is the One who Isaiah 1 vs 24 describes as the Lord of Host , the Mighty of One of Israel. The Most High God wants me to tell you that, that which He has promised , He will surely bring to the pass because He said in Isaiah 14 vs 27 that He has purposed it and no one can annul it, His hands are stretched out to help you and no can turn it back.
The Lord of the whole universe wants me to tell you that the bible refers to Him in Isaiah 25 vs 4 As a strength to the poor, Strength to the needy in his distress, A refuge from the storm, A shade from heat and that is what He will be for you in Jesus might name, Amen. Psalm 18 vs 2 calls Him our Rock, Fortress,Deliverer, Strength in whom we trust, Horn of our Salvation and a Stronghold. Brethren do not give room today to any though worries of fear because our God is Able, Capable, Dependable,Unquestionable and His wisdom is unsearchable. According to Isaiah 41 vs 14, do not fear for he will help you. What kind of help do you require? Do you want Him to strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand, He will do just that according to Isaiah 41 vs 10 ;Do you want those who are angry at you to be ashamed and disgraced? Consider it done – Isaiah 41 vs 11 ; You want those who war against you to just disappear with no trace , he will do it according to Isaiah 41 vs 12. He is ready to hold your right hand if you are scared – Isaiah 41 vs 13 . He will carry you according to Isaiah 46 vs 4,He will go before you and behind you according to Isaiah 58 vs 8.He can surround you like a mountain – Psalm 125 vs 2 , He can watch over your coming in and going out – Psalm 121 vs 8 .Whatever you want He can do it. Have you been praying for an increase in your ministry,you want the Lord to increase your members He can also do that too. According to Isaiah 56 vs 8 , He can gather people to a place besides those are already present. He also gathers out of great mercy – Isaiah 54 vs 7 .Do you want a new job well according to Isaiah 51 vs 22-23 , He can take cups of sadness out of ones hands and put cups of joy. He will take the cup of unemployment and give you the cup employment. Are you lacking ideas or creativity in that project He will give you the cup of creativity today. Have you lost battles and failed ? My Father and my God will decorate you as Warrior and a winner – Isaiah 54 vs 11-12 .Are your enemies too strong well He can simply reduce their strength and increase your strength like He did for the enemies of the King of Assyria in Isaiah 37 vs 26-27 .Are you single and seeking a life partner well He can bring a good partner to you because the bibles says in Isaiah 54 vs 7 that he brings people to place out a mercy. He will bring a gentleman to your heart or a proverbs 31 woman to your life in Jesus might name.
The only thing required of you is to be willing and obedient. The bible says in Isaiah 1 vs 19-20 that if you are willing and obedient , you shall eat the good of the land but if you are not the end will be a disaster. According to Psalm 23 vs 5, He is laying a table before you today. Are you willing to eat ? The Lord will never force anything on anyone. He said in Deuteronomy 30 vs 19 , I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses: therefore chooses life,that you may live and your seed. The Lord can only advise , he can make your mind for you. I have seen churches who could not afford a church building , buy an auditorium during recession, that’s divine provision. I have seen people get get promotion where others are made redundant, it is God. Everything we will be fine just obey . The first step to obedience is to give ones life to Christ.
Romans 6 vs 1 says it is impossible to continue in and expect to grace to abound. Where you once a believer and you backs-lidded? Jesus wants you back . A touch from God

Jeremiah 1 vs 9 – Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me: ‘ Behold I have put my words in your mouth’ .
According to Jeremiah 1 vs 5 , Jeremiah was ordained as a prophet from his mother’s womb  . When the time take came to  fulfill his destiny , he suddenly noticed that there were  few issues in his life that needed urgent attention , For example because of his age ,he lacked knowledge and understanding . Besides that he lacked speaking etiquette . The Lord knew the young man was indirectly requesting for a touch and He touched him. The boy who had issues with speaking became one of the greatest preacher in the old testament. He preached with passion and at times he would cry – Jeremiah 20 vs 8 .
The touch of God brings multiplication. Jesus touched five loaves of bread and two fishes in Matthew 14 vs 13 -21 and multiplication began. There were twelve baskets left after five thousand men not counting women and children had eaten. Elijah told the widow of Zarapheth in 1 Kings vs 7 -16 to make small loaf of bread for him first , the woman obeyed the prophet of God and the God of Elijah touched her jar of flour and flask of oil and multiplication began. Prior to the touch she was very poor and as such she was lonely. It is a terrible thing to live in poverty even the bible says in Proverbs 19 vs 7 that a poor man’s brothers hate him; how much more do his friends go far from him! He pursues them with words , but does not have them . The woman who could not afford a meal suddenly had enough to for herself and child to eat and even give out. Proverbs 14 vs 20 says the rich has many friends, her circle of friends increased and loneliness became a thing of the past because her jar of flour and flask of oil was never empty .When the whole city were  crying and complaining all she was doing was singing I am serving a living God. I pray that you will sing such a song in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
The book of John 5 vs 1-16 talks about a man who was sick for 38 years. For 38 years this man did not make any progress in life ,anyway what sort of progress can a man who is confined to a sick bed make. He had dreams , he wanted to be come something in life  but his sickness robbed him of all this . Basically his sickness put a stop to every thing that could bring him joy but after the Almighty touched him,  his story changed. The man who had never known joy for 38 years suddenly began to dance. He had never walked in 38 years but now he began jump for joy. Proverbs 13 vs 12 says hope deferred makes the heart sick but when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life. The man who was literally dieing could now be described as a tree of life. He had a change of residence from a sick bed to health . The dream of perfect health he had been nursing for 38 years finally became a reality. I pray that all those dreams of making it in life, getting a job ,taking your child for dedication, exchanging wedding vows , fulfilling God’s plan , securing your marriage will be come reality today in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Samara endured a period of famine because they were under the siege of the king of Syria. Food was so scarce that people began to sell  birds droppings as food -2 kings 6 vs 25 . Those who could not afford it began to eat their children. We do not need to be told that the King was sad. The bible said in Proverbs 15 vs 30 that good news gives health to the bones. Bad news brought sickness on the inhabitants of Samaria . The people cried to God and He answered. He touched their situation and within 24 hours the people began to live in abundance. The touch brought a transfer of wealth from the Syrian economy to Samaria.First of all The Lord touched the heart of four lepers who were sitting at the entrance of the gate. They suddenly began to think differently , people who were scared of death suddenly grew so bold that they decided to walk to the camp of the Syrians. As they began to walk the Lord touched the hear of the Syrians and they began to hear strange noises. They heard noises of great army and they ran away leaving gold, garments and horses . The man who had no horse suddenly had five, the people who had been eating the bird’s dropping (faeces ) began to eat nice food and drink wine. A whole nation who sat on ashes weeping began to change from garments and dance for Joy. My Father and Lord will touch your situation and there will a turn around in your situation in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
A touch from the Most High God can change situations. The water at Marah was very bitter. The bible said in Exodus 15 vs 23 -25 that the area got its name from that water. Everything around this water became bitter . A single touch change the name of this area from Marah meaning bitterness to sweetness . This touch can change the physical composition of an object ,the Most High touched a pile of clay and it became a man-Genesis 2 vs 7 . The bible says that the touch can cause children to come out of a rock- Luke 3 vs 8 . The same river Peter fished all night and caught nothing , just a single touch from Jesus Christ led to a turn around. The bible said in Luke 5 vs 1 -11 that they caught so much fish that  two boats began to sink, Peter had no choice than to call for help . I am believing  that the  Lord will bless myself and someone to the extent we will need an extra hand to carry our blessing in Jesus name, Amen. I belief that person is you , Amen.
The mad man of Gadara lost the control of His mind to demons. According to Mark 5 vs 1-20, He had over five thousands demons residing in him. This mad man refused to live in the city and began to live in the tomb. Within few minutes after the touch the man became normal again and people could not recognize him again.
Solomon after offering a thousand burnt offerings in 2 Chronicles 1 vs 6-12 received a visitation form the Lord. The Lord asked Solomon what he wanted and he requested for wisdom . The Lord touched his brains and he became a genius. The man became so wise that the bible recorded that he spoke three thousand proverbs and wrote a thousand and five tracks. If Solomon was to release an album with twelve tracks, He would have released over one hundred and twenty-five albums. The Lord touched the legs of Elijah in 1 Kings 18 vs 46 and he outran the king’s chariot. Elisha received a touch and became filled with power. Elisha could hear conversations taking place several thousands miles away. When the king of Syria began to question his officers about who was informing the king of Israel about his plans , an officer told the King that it was Elisha. The officer said the man of God hears the conversation the king has in his bedroom – 2 Kings 6 v s12 . Some armies were asked to go and arrest Elisha in 2 Kings 1 vs 9-15 . The man of God simply called fire to roast them and fire came from heaven and consumed them. It got to a stage that the angel of the Lord had to appeal to Elisha to seize fire.
Someone might I ask that can God touch me and how can I get a touch from the Almighty . God is willing to touch everyone . The only thing is that it comes with responsibilities. The Lord touches people to glorify Himself in their lives. Moses pleased God to the extent that when He asked to see to God physically , God had no choice than to honor his request. The Lord told Moses in Exodus 33 vs 17 -23 ,that the result of what you have asked for is death but I will arrange something. Whether you believe it or not Moses saw something no man had ever seen before . The Lord is ready to be more than a God but a Father and a Friend. When the Lord is your Friend, He shares His secrets with you . He can speak with you like a father speaks to His son . He is the best friend any man can have and the worst enemy any man can have. The bible said in Hebrew 10 vs 31 says it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. His touch can bring healing and the same touch can cause pain. His hands can be light and the can be heavy too. He touched the host of the Egyptians in Exodus 14 vs 24 -25 and they were stuck in the read sea. The Lord drowned them over night.
Miriam was a respected prophetess of God who was used mightily by God. She sinned and despised a man of God and the Lord touched her in Numbers 12 vs 10- 13 .She became a leper immediately. The once mighty prophetess did not prophesy again till she died. The story of Miriam is a lesson to everyone. No man is greater than his source which is God. He can appeal to a man to give his life to Jesus and if the man refuses he can take any decision. One thing to know is that , The Most High God is not a gentleman. If you do not believe me , ask Sennacherib the king of Assyria. This king had a great army so he thought he was untouchable. He began to torment the people of Judah and  they reported him to The Lion of the Tribe of Judah (God) and He sent an angel to this king. In between eight hours , this great king lost one hundred and eighty-five thousand armies. The next morning he left quietly back to Assyria .
Thank God for His mercies. The bible says in Lamentations 3 vs 32 that though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion according to the multitude of His mercies. According to Psalm 89 vs 14 mercy and truth go before His face. Psalm 78 vs 38 -39 says God in his compassion can forgive all iniquities, instead of destroying people he turns his anger because he remembers that we were but flesh. Psalm 103 vs 11 say as the heavens are high above the earth , so great is His Mercy toward those that fear him.
Romans 6 vs 1 says shall we continue in sin and ask for grace to abound ? shall we continue to disobey Him and ask Him to shower his mercies on us ?
The bible said in Romans 3 vs 23 that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6 s 23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The gift was explained in John 3 vs 16 , For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. What shall we do to be save ? The bible says in Romans 10vs 9 that if you confess with your mouth , Jesus is Lord , and believe in
your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10 vs 10 – For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that you confess and are saved.

God of breakthrough

Genesis 32 vs 28 – And He said , ‘Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel, for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.

Without God breakthrough is impossible . Psalm 127 vs 1 says that except the Lord builds a house , they labor In vain who built it ; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain. The only source of breakthrough is God , 1 Corinthians 3 vs 7 it is only God that causes an increase. Deuteronomy 32 vs 30 says how could one chase a thousand and two put ten thousand to flight , unless their Rock had sold them , and the Lord had surrendered them ? If God does not surrender once any enemy , one can not conquer them . I pray to today that the Most High God will surrender every enemy to you and you will conquer them in Jesus name.
There is breakthrough in career or profession . Bezalel was a man who had breakthrough in his career . The Most High God personally recommended him to Moses to be the one who will design and construct the ark of covenant -Exodus 31 vs 2-4 . He was picked out of a whole nation to perform this task. He had wisdom , understanding and knowledge in all manner of workmanship .In every area he stood out . Breakthrough in the area of profession is possible anywhere even in a foreign land. Daniel was a captive from Judah who found himself in the land of Chaldean . He went from been a young captive boy to become an officer who served before the King – Daniel 1 vs 19 .In a single day , he moved from an officer to the chief administrator of all top government officials – Daniel 2 vs 49 .By the time we get Daniel 6 vs 2-3 , Daniel had become one the three governors in the empire and the king was secretly considering to make him the head over the three . That is breakthrough.
Ahithophel was another man who prospered in his profession . He was a high ranking special adviser to the David. The bibles says in 2 Samuel 16 vs 23 that the counsel of Ahithophel which he gave in those days , was as if one inquired of the word of God . Joseph also prospered in his profession. In Genesis 41 vs 40 -42 , Pharaoh made Joseph a prime minister in Egypt. During the reign of Joseph as prime minister ,Joseph ensured that they had more than enough enough in their reserves. Genesis 41 vs 49 says Joseph gathered very much grain, as the sand of the sea ,until he stopped counting , for it was measurable. When currency failed in the whole world due to famine , Joseph bought the Egypt for Pharaoh , he bought the land and everything in it – Genesis 47 vs 23 . Paul was another man who prospered in his career as a writer. He wrote the larger part of the new testament and his writings still inspires till today.
Anyone who wants a breakthrough in his career must be hardworking. Proverbs 22 vs 29 says seest thou a man diligent in his business ? He shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men . It is true Psalm 75 vs 6-7 says promotion does not not come from the east or west but God is the judge; He puts down one and exalts another but the same bible says Proverbs 10 vs 4 that He who has a slack hand becomes poor but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 28 vs 19 says He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough. Some of us love to waste time at work so that we will not be giving more work to do. This is not too good. When the servant of Abraham asked Rebekah for water , the bible says in Genesis 24 vs 18 that she quickly let her pitcher down to her hand, and gave him a drink . Genesis 24 vs 20 says then she quickly emptied her pitcher into the trough , ran back to the well to draw water , and drew for all his camels. Rebekah did not walk around as if she had the whole world , she carried out her business quickly. Mary the mother of Jesus did not waste anytime immediately the angel of the Lord departed from her . The bible said in Luke 1 vs 39 that Now Mary rose in those days and went into the hill country with haste , to a city of Judah .
Anyone who wants such breakthrough must be prepared to give up sleep at night and be an early riser. Most breakthrough occurs at night . The children of Israel got theirs at night , Pharaoh called Moses and Aaron at night to take the children of Israel out of Egypt -Exodus 12 vs 31-32 . The book of Joshua 10 vs 9 says Joshua therefore came upon them suddenly, having marched all night. Even we sleep , we should be early risers .The bible said David rose early in the morning and , left the sheep with the keeper and took the things and went as Jesse as commanded him- 1 Samuel 17 vs 20 . Jeremiah 25 vs 4a , And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets , rising early and sending them .
When we talk of breakthrough , it can be in the area of finance. Solomon was a man that had financial breakthrough. In 1 Kings 3 vs 3-14 , Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings to the Lord and the Lord decided to visit this young man. Because Solomon did what no man or King had ever done before , the Lord decided to ask Solomon a question He had never ask a man or King before. The Lord said , ‘Ask ! What shall I give you ‘ and the young king asked for only wisdom to rule the people of Israel. The Lord said concerning wisdom I will give you wisdom and I will also give you financial breakthrough. Solomon had so much horses , he had to build cities just to keep his horses and chariots – 1 Kings 10 vs 26 . Everything on his table was made of pure gold because silvers was considered of little value – 1 Kings 10 vs 21 , anyway silver was as common as stones during the reign of Solomon. In wisdom , the bible records in 1 Kings 4 vs 30-32 he was the wisest man during his time.
Financial breakthrough is possible during recession. Isaac broke-through financially during famine , which is modern day recession. Genesis 26 vs 1 – there was a famine in the land besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. During famine , Isaac sowed and reaped hundredfold – Genesis 26 vs 12 . The bible records it in Genesis 26 vs 13 -14 that Isaac began to prosper ,and continued prospering until he became very prosperous. He was so prosperous a whole nation of Philistine envied him . It got to a point Abimelech( king of Philistine ) took his friend and Phicol the commander of his army to beg Isaac not to harm them because the man was very prosperous – Genesis 26 vs 26-31.
It is possible for a woman to have financial breakthrough . In 2 Kings 4 vs 8 is the story of a Shunem woman who the bible described as great . She was well to do, when Elisha asked her in 2 Kings 4 vs 13 , if she wanted him to speak to the king or the commander in chief on her behalf , she said I am alright , I dwell among my own people. Anyone can have financial breakthrough even young people . The bible talks of Uzziah who was made king at the age of sixteen in 2 Chronicles 26 vs 1-15 . Although very young yet the Lord gave him a financial breakthrough. 2 Chronicles 26 vs 5 says He sought God in the days of Zechariah , who had understanding in the visions of God ; and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper.
One key to getting financial breakthrough is giving . Luke 6 vs 38 says give and it will be given to you. It is only what a man gives that he receives . Malachi 3 vs 10-11a says bring all the tithes into the storehouse that there may be food in My house , and try Me now in this says the Lord of Host, ‘if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour for you such blessings that there will be not be room enough to receive it and I will rebuke the devourers for your sakes. If the Lord does not rebuke the devourer , who can ? Definitely not you. Proverbs 3 vs 9 says Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your produce. Talking of Honor , the Lord said in 1 Samuel 2 vs 30 that those who honor Me I will honor ! . It is impossible to be stingy to God or man and expect financial breakthrough. John 12 vs 24 says unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies , it remains only a single seed. But if it dies , it produces many seeds. Seeds must first fall to the ground before we get more seeds . Proverbs 11 vs 24 says there is one who gives and increases , and there is one who withholds and yet comes to poverty. Proverbs 28 vs 27 says He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. Ecclesiastes 1 vs 7 says all the rivers run into the sea , yet is not full ; to the place from which the rivers come ,there they return again. It is not only money , if you have clothes, shoes and toys you do not want, take them to the orphanage near you or as a church collect this items and ship to countries that need it. That’s the expectation of the Most High God , Proverbs 19 vs 17 says He who is kind to the poor lends to the Lord , and he will reward him for what has done.
There is also breakthrough in the area of Health. The woman with the issue of blood had a breakthrough in health- Mark 5 vs 25 – 26. She had a flow of blood for twelve years . Immediately she touched the hem of the garment of Jesus , she got her healing. Mark 2 vs 1-12 talks about a man who was paralyzed from head to toe. Jesus told him to arise,take up his bed and go to his house . The man immediately stood up and began to walk. In Luke 7 vs 1-10 is a story of a centurion whose servant was sick . This man approached Jesus about the health of his servant who was sick at home. Jesus simply wished the servant well and he got his healing at home. In Mark 1 vs 40-42 is the story of a leper Jesus healed. This leper knelt before Jesus and began to tell Jesus if you are willing you can heal me. Jesus moved with stretched out his hands and this man was healed.
Anyone who wants breakthrough in the area of health and well being must have faith. Hebrew 11 vs 6 says without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him .Abraham was able to  father a child at the age of hundred because of his faith. Romans 4 vs 19-20 says Abraham did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body , which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old) , or when he considered the deadness Sarah’s womb. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God. The woman with the issue of blood acted in faith by touching the hem of the garment of Jesus . The friends of the man who was Paralyzed acted in faith . They broke the roof knowing that once their friend got to Jesus , he will receive healing . The centurion acted in faith when he told Jesus not to bother coming to his house , all he needed to do was say the word. Let me use this opportunity to say the word to you too , It shall be well with you , Amen
There is also breakthrough in ministry . In 2 Kings 13 vs 21 , a dead body was thrown into the tomb of Elisha. Immediately the corpse touched the bones of Elisha ,he woke up and began to walk. In Acts 19 vs 11-12 says that  aprons and handkerchiefs taken from  Paul were casting out demons. Peter was so anointed even his shadows were healing people – Acts 5 vs 15 . In Mark 4 vs 37-41 ,Jesus felt very tired so he decided to take a short nap . While he was sleeping a wind arose and waves began beat into the boat. The disciple called Jesus and he rebuked the wind. All He said was Quiet , Be still! And immediately the wind stopped. Such a breakthrough in the area of ministry comes with a price,one must be sold out for Christ. if we lay our lives before Christ , He will pick us and use us mightily . The level to which we yield our self to Him , is the the level to which He will use us. Another way to have such breakthrough is to put to use the gifts of the Holy spirit in us. The more of our anointing we use , the more anointing we will get back in return.The more of our spiritual gifts we use , the better they became. Joseph started as a dreamer and with time he began to interpret dreams. Daniel started with interpreting dreams – Daniel 2 vs 36-46 . By the time we get to Daniel 5 vs 24-30 , The gift of Daniel had matured , he could now interpret heavenly hand writing. The only way to grow those spiritual gift is to put them into use and stop hiding them. Remember the parable of the talents in Matthew 25 vs 15-29 .I will pray that the Lord will not take back His talents.
Hebrews 3 vs 4 says for every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Without  God all effort will prove abortive. Ephesians 3 vs 20 says God is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine , according to the power that work within us. Isaiah 14 vs 24 says The Lord of hosts has sworn saying , ‘surely as I have thought,so it shall come to pass, and as I have purposed, so it shall stand. Isaiah 14 vs 27 says the Lord of host has purposed, and who will annul it? His hands is stretched and who will it turn it back? If He decides to give you breakthrough no one can stop Him except you through sin. Jeremiah 5 vs 25 says your iniquities have turned these things away, and your sins have withhold good from you. Psalm 66 vs 18 says if I regard iniquity in my heart , the Lord would not listen . That is why we have to do away with sin and live a holy life.

Mothers can decide the future of their child

Isaiah 66 vs 13a – As a mother comforts her child , so will I comfort you.
It is very rare to see God comparing himself to man but in the verse above he compares the way He comforts to the way a mother comforts her child.
God can not be compared to any one because the Lord himself said in Isaiah 45 vs 5-6 that I am the Lord, and there is no other , apart form me there is no God, from the rising of the sun to its setting there is none besides Me. When Moses ask the Lord for a name in case the children of Israel decides to ask him who sent him,the Lord told him I AM THAT I AM – Exodus 3 vs 14 . Hannah the mother of Samuel even confessed in 1 Samuel 2 vs 2 that there is no Rock like our God. The Lord was only trying to praise our mothers and letting them know He sees the way they have been comforting the children He gave to them.
Some men may be wondering if God ever compared himself to a father , well in Psalm 103 vs 13, He said As a father has compassion on his children , so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him . Fathers the Lord sees you effort too . God is also a father too because in the books of Psalm 68 vs 5 , the bible calls him the a Father to the Fatherless and in Deuteronomy 10 vs 18, the bible says he defends the cause of the fatherless and the widows, So let somebody shout Hallelujah .Amen
Mothers can decide the destiny of a child. In Exodus 2 vs 1 – 10 , we see a mother who risked her life for her son . Pharaoh had ordered that every male child born to the Hebrews be cast in to the river but the mother of Moses refused to throw her son into the river. It was not an easy task to keep him especially when other mothers were forced to throw their children in the river. The mother of moses persisted and did everything in her hand to keep him alive. If not for her , Moses would not have fulfilled his destiny of leading the children of Israel out of Egypt.
Jacob was destined to be a mighty nation. He was created for greatness .The blessings of Abraham and Isaac were meant to be his but by virtue of birth he lost it to Esau his twin brother who was the senior  and the blessing of the father goes to the firstborn. To compound matters he lacked skills ,the bible records in Genesis 25 vs 27 that Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field but Jacob was only a mild man ,dwelling in tenths . As if that was enough , Isaac his father did not think much of him but really loved Esau  because he ate of his game – Genesis 28 vs 28 . The only thing Jacob had going for him was the love of his mother . A day came , Isaac decided to reward his son-Esau for all the game he had eaten, so he asked Esau to go and kill a game and bring it that he may bless him. Rebekah had this and quickly called Jacob and they planned something . Before Esau came Jacob had received all the blessings . By the time we get to Genesis 27 vs 37 , Isaac was telling Esau that he made Jacob head over him .
The mother of Jabez did not set out to curse her son but due to birth pains she saw Jabez as a painful experience so she called him Jabez meaning born out of pain.From that day onward Jabez became an agent of pain but thank God he prayed and the Lord answered him. I pray that Lord will remove all the pains in your life in Jesus name, amen.
The mother of King Lemuel in Proverbs 13 vs 1- end  knew that her son had colorful destiny so she began to teach him how to live and behave so that he will fulfill his destiny. In 2 Samuel 12 vs 25 Solomon was named by God as Jedidiah meaning the beloved of the most hign . Solomon was  destined to be the wisest king that ever lived.  Adonijah , one of Davids son suddenly decided to make himself king and the David did not really mind but thank God for Nathan who went to go and meet Solomons mother and advised her. The mother of Solomon – Bethsheba met with King david , before the end of that day Solomon was made a king.
Do you know that Mary the Mother of Jesus also played an important role in the ministry of Jesus. Mary was present at the first miracle of Jesus , when Jesus was saying mother it is not my time , She was telling the servants in John 2 vs5 that whatever Jesus tells them they should do it.We know the end of the story that water turned to wine.
God takes mothers seriously . In Proverbs 18 vs 22 , the bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtain favour from God. Since every wife will eventually become  a mother, as a wife is a good thing so also is a mother and mothers are agent of favor from God. Do you know that Jesus lived his life for mothers while on earth ? All the  miracles, healing, deliverance, food provision was for mothers for example the mad man of Gatherer who was delivered of a thousand demons in  Mark 5vs1-15 was the son of a mother ,Lazarus who Jesus resurrected in John 11 vs 39 -44 was the son of a mother , the woman that was healed of the issue of blood in Matthew 9 vs 20 was a daughter of a mother. Everything Jesus did was for mothers even the Fig the tree Jesus cursed in Matthew 21 vs 19 . The Fig tree failed to produce fruit for a Mary’s ‘s son -Jesus Christ to eat so He cursed it. Do you know that when Jesus overturned the table of the money changers in Matthew 21 vs 12 he was only trying ensure that the Lord’s wrath will not come on the money changers because what they were doing was wrong. He was only trying to ensure that the mothers of those money changers will not weep over them.
Mothers are very important In our lives , that is why we need to always strive to make them happy because making them happy makes God happy.The bible says in Ephesians 6 vs 2 that we should honor our fathers and mothers as it is not only a commandment but there is a blessing attached to it. In Exodus 20 vs 12 the bible say the only way to long life is by honoring our fathers and mothers. Deuteronomy 5 vs 16 says that all those who want it to be well with them should honor their fathers and mothers . If you are not in talking terms with your father or mother you better go and apologize to them . If there is anyone going through any difficulty or problem , they should go and meet their parents and ask them to bless them. God is not happy with any child fighting or disobeying their parents.
Our mothers are good. They love us but they can only do little to help us.Our mothers can love us and comfort us but they can not protect us from diseases like cancer but our God can not only protect from diseases but he can heal diseases because He said in Exodus 15 vs 26 that He is the Lord that heals. Every mothers wants her child to be promoted in their places of work but there is little they can do but the bible says in Psalm 75 vs 6-7 that exaltation comes neither from the east nor west nor south but from God who is the Judge, He puts down one and exalt another . Although our mothers love to cook and feed us but the only One who satisfy us according to Isaiah 58 vs 11 is God.
Mothers do a lot for their kids but as they grow old their strength diminishes according to Isaiah 40 vs 28 our God never grows tired or weary . Every mother has a mother. Every mother came to this world through a mother . The whole mothers depend on God because  He has promised them in Isaiah 46 vs 4 that he will carry them even to their gray hairs. It is possible for a mother to forget her child but Lord can not forget you -Isaiah 49 vs 15 .
No mother can save except Jesus . The only person who died for us is Jesus Christ. The bible said in John 3 vs 16 that out of love God sent Jesus Christ to die for us and that whosoever will believe in him will not die but have everlasting life. Jesus said in Matthew 11 vs 28 that come to me , all you who labor and heavy laden ,and I will give you rest. This  call is for everyone , children , fathers ,aunties , uncles, sisters including mothers.Come and give your life to Christ and begin to enjoy rest.
If you have not giving your life to Christ , it is not too late . He will forgive all your sins , did I hear ALL ? Yes all .If you have giving your life before and backslidden ,Jesus wants to take you back.
You can do so now by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is lord . Please pray this prayer with me : Lord Jesus, I give myself to You,for You to be my only Lord and Savior. I renounce and repudiate all other loyalties, and I desire no other Lord but You. Please come into me and take control of my life. Mold me to your will and to your use. I ask that you drive out all other spirits which conflict with you in anyway. I want to belong only to you, to be subject only to you. I make this prayer to you, in your name ,the name of Jesus . Amen .

Seeds

John 12 vs 24 I tell you the truth , unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies , it remains only a single seed. But if it dies it produces many seeds .
Many might wonder why Jesus said ‘I tell you the truth ‘ . Does it mean there were times He told lies ? NO . The bible said in Hebrew 4 vs 15 that Jesus was tempted in every way and yet he did not sin. When He said ‘ I tell you the truth’ , he was trying to lay emphasis .
The Philosophers and professors of psychology will tell us that Truth changes, what was true yesterday might not be true today for example it was once true that the world was flat but today we both know that it is sphere. When Jesus said I tell you the Truth , he was trying to tell them of a truth that never changes , a Truth that stands the test of time . He was talking of a principle that even The Most High practices. According to Genesis 8 vs 22 , as long as the earth endures , seed time and harvest will never cease , in other words there will always be a need for seeds.
Seeds carry a divine instruction to bear fruits of its kind. The bible says in Genesis 1 vs 12 that the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind,and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind.
There is a lot to learn from John 12 vs 24 for example the fact the the kernel falls to the ground and dies does not spell the end of the kernel .The fact that you are down and things instead of getting better are getting worse does not spell your end ,It is just a step closer to your breakthrough. A Spanish proverbs says that the night is at the darkest before the dawn .The bible says in Psalms 30 vs 5 that weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning. Another lesson from John 12 vs 24 is that the only way for a single seed to produce many seeds Is by allowing it to fall to the ground which means sowing. The more seeds that fall to the ground,the  more seeds that will be produced . The more we sow , the more we are bound to harvest .Luke 6 vs 38 says give, and it will be given to you. A good measure , pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap . For with the measure you use , it will be measured to you.
One major lesson to learn from John 12 vs 24 is that seeds are very important. Without seeds there will be no harvest . Seed carries infinite possibilities .Our seeds can usher us into our destinies. When God created Moses , he did not create him to be single but before He could get married in Egypt he offended the King and had to run for his life. Moses found himself in the land of Midian by a well with nothing except a seed – the military training he received from Egypt as a prince . While he was sitting by the well a group of ladies came to draw water and the shepherds drove them away ; Moses stood up and helped them and also watered their flock. The parents of these ladies were so impressed they gave Moses accommodation and a wife – Exodus 2 vs 16- 20 .
Rebekah in Genesis 24 vs 15 -67 had the gift of hospitality. She could make a slave feel like a king. She treated Abraham’s slave like a king and provided water for his camels. She did not only get a gift from the slave ,she got a husband as well. She sowed her seeds of hospitality and got Isaac the one who God blessed to the extent that a whole nation noticed . Rahab although a citizen of Jericho was meant to be the great great grand mother of David but she started on a wrong foot and before she knew it , she had messed her life up. She had nothing except the little store room in her roof, she sowed the little store wisely by using it to hide the spies from Israel .When Judgment came on Jericho ,she and her family was spared – Joshua 2 vs 1-16. She got a husband called Salmon, who begot Boaz,Boaz begot Obed, Obed begot Jesse and Jesse begot David – Matthew 1 vs 5-6 .
Our seeds can move God. According to Isaiah 38 vs 1-5 , the Most High God sent Isaiah to tell king Hezekiah to put his house in order for he was going to die. Hezekiah turned to the wall and cried to his Maker ,he prayed that the Lord will remember his seeds , he had worked before God in truth with a loyal heart,and done what was good in the sight of God. The Lord immediately sent Isaiah back,to tell him that He has added another fifteen years to his life. After the flood , Noah offered a special burnt offering to God. He sowed a seed and it touched God’s heart. The bible said in Genesis 8 vs 21 that the Lord smelled a soothing aroma and He said in His heart that He will never again curse the ground for man’s sake. Moses was so humble that God found no one as humble as Moses on the face of the earth – Numbers 12 vs 3 .Because Moses had been sowing seeds of humility , God began to speak with him in a different form. While God spoke to Miriam and Aaron in dreams and visions according to Numbers 12 vs 6- 8 , he spoke to Moses face to face.
Our seeds leads to our expansion. We read the story of a boy in Matthew 14 vs 13 -21 who sowed five breads and two fishes into the ministry of Jesus. By the end of the that day the boy got twelve baskets full of food. The widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17 vs 7-16 sowed her last meal during famine. The food she gave to Elijah was not enough for herself and her son but she gave it. This woman who could not afford three square meals became so blessed she could now cater for herself , her child and an extra mouth. The bible says in Proverbs 11 vs 25 that a generous person will be made rich , and whoever satisfies others will himself be satisfied. Proverbs 18 vs 25 says With the kind You show Yourself Kind ; with the blameless You show Yourself blameless .
Our seeds can also bring mercy. Proverbs 21 vs 14a says secret gifts calms anger. The burnt offering of Noah in Genesis 8 vs 21 brought mercy to all human race. The Lord said in His heart that He will not cause the ground for man’s sake . He also promised that he will not destroy every living as he did. Seeds also brings blessing,after Noah’s burnt offering the Lord blessed Noah and his sons. He commanded them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. King Solomon offered so much sheep and oxen that it was too many to count. The bible said in 1 Kings 8 vs 5 that sheep and oxen could not be number for they were too much . The Lord blessed Solomon in 1 Kings 9 vs 19 that Solomon had to build cities just to store God’s blessings .He blessed Solomon in a way He had never blessed any man . The bible said in 1 Kings 10 vs 26 that Solomon had twelve thousands horses. I read that the most expensive horse in the world cost sixteen million dollars but a very good one cost around five hundred thousand dollars.God blessed Solomon to the extent that in he could afford twelve thousand of those !
Our seeds can also bring us before Kings. Joseph had a gift of interpretation of dreams . He sowed it into the life of two palace officials , one of them spoke to the king about Joseph . When the King heard about Joseph , he sought a meeting with him and by the end of the meeting Joseph became a prime minister. Proverbs 22 vs 29 says seest a man diligent in his work , He will serve before Kings ; he will not serve before obscure men. Our seeds also determines what we get from God. We sow seeds through our confessions . Numbers 14 vs 28 says As surely as i live , declares the Lord , I will do to you the very things I heard you say in order words what we confesses decides what we get. Jesus said in Matthew 12 vs 37 that by our words , we will be justified or condemned.
Our confession has a lot to do with our destinies. The bible says in Proverbs 12 vs 6b that the mouth of the righteous will deliver them. Jesus said in Matthew 15 vs 11 that the only thing that defiles a man is what comes out of His mouth. Proverbs 18 vs 6 says a fools mouth calls for blow. Many destinies have been destroyed through negative confessions. The bible says in Joel 3 vs 10 that let the weak say I am strong. Isaac asked Abraham in Genesis 22 vs 7 -13 that he can see fire and the wood but where is the lamb for a burnt offering ,Abraham told him God will provide and the Lord provided. When Joseph stood before Pharaoh in Genesis 41 vs 1- 40 to interpret Pharaoh’s dream . He told Pharaoh that God will give him an answer of peace and the Most High did just that. Jesus told Nathanael one of his disciples John 1 vs 48 -50 that he will see great things ,exactly the same thing happened; Nathanael witnessed Jesus walk on water- Matthew 14 vs 25-26.
Our seeds can make us or brake us . David committed adultery with the wife of a soldier and in order to cover his sins he orchestrated the death of the soldier in 2 Samuel 11 vs 1 -17. Immediately after the death of the soldier David made took the widow of the soldier as wife . He sowed a very bad seed. This costed him everything , His son planned a coup against him and he managed to escape for his life. After David escaped the coup , the son took over the throne and slept with all the wives of David-2 Samuel 16 vs 1-20 .
Samson was a man of great strength. Aside physical strength , the Lord also blessed him with the gift of wisdom and made him prosperous. Samson was so rich he threw a feast for total strangers – thirty of them. He also promised these men a garment and changes of clothing each if they were able to answer his riddle- Judges 14 vs 10-14 . Although Samson knew that God loved him , he began to playing with sin. The Lord had warned that all Nazarenes should not to go near a dead body in Numbers 6 vs 6 , Samson took honey from the carcass of a dead lion and consumed it. He also gave some to his parents , he did not tell them where he got the honey from. He committed fornication which was forbidden too but out of the Lord’s mercy , he did not kill him. He continued to act foolishly and sow seeds of disobedience to God. Sampson’s seed produced his down fall. His appetite for sin landed him in trouble and he lost everything ,his sights ,wealth , comfort , freedom -Judges 16 vs 21 .
We sow seeds knowingly or unknowingly. We sow seeds through our actions for example a simple gesture such as been kind to the poor .The bible says in Proverbs 19 vs 17 that people that sow such seeds lend to the Lord and He repays them. Proverbs 21 vs 13 says whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, will also cry himself and not be heard. The bible says in Psalm 69 vs 33 that the Lord hears the poor , and does not despise his prisoners.
Poverty is the state of lack or lack of something. There are many people who although have material possessions are still poor because Jesus is missing . Many are empty inside , that’s why they take drugs and alcohol to fill the void in them. Many are after inner peace , many want a feeling of belonging and they will go to any length to get this even if it involves joining a cult. Jesus said in John 14 vs 27 that ‘Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives . Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid’ . Is it not the search for inner peace and sense of belonging that drags many to drug abuse including musicians and celebrities .
Many aspire to live a holy life but think it is too difficult. They look at their lives and think it is impossible for them to give up their addictions. Many are slaves to addictions and as such they find it hard to a to live a Holy life. It is actually impossible to live a Holy life unless Jesus comes into your heart. It is the Jesus in you that will make the difference , it is the Jesus in a man that helps him live a life of righteousness not by will power. The bible said in Zechariah 4 vs 6 -’so he said to me, this is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: Not by might nor by power, but by my spirit says the Lord Almighty.
The bible said in Romans 3 vs 23 that for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 6 s 23 says For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. The gift was explained in John 3 vs 16 , For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. What shall we do to be save ? The bible says in Romans 10 vs 9 that if you confess with your mouth , Jesus is Lord , and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10 vs 10 – For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with our mouth that you confess and are saved. Ifyou have not giving your life to Christ , it is not too late . He will forgive all your sins , did I hear ALL ? Everything the Lord created has ears

Romans 4 vs 17 - As it is written ,' I have made thee a father of many nations.' He is our father in the sight of God , in whom he believed- the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were .
The English Standard Version says God calls into existence the things that do not exist.
God is the creator of all things , Genesis 1 vs 1 says In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth ; Colossians 1 vs 16 says For by Him all things were created : things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible , whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities ;all things were created by Him and for Him. God is the ultimate Creator , He created all things for His pleasure. The book of Revelations 4 vs 11 says Thou art worthy , our Lord and God , to receive glory, honor, and power , because you have created all things , and by your pleasure they exist and were created , Amen.

By definition,  the ear is the organ that detects sound and also aids in balance and body position. Everything the Lord created has ears, living and non- living things , objects and particles just name it. In Genesis 1 vs 11-12, The Lord gave out an instruction to the earth to bring forth grass ,herbs that yield seed , and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its king and the earth did as it was told . The earth heard the instruction of God and brought forth grass,herbs and fruit trees.

The Lord said in Deuteronomy 30 vs 19 ,  I call heaven and earth as witness this day against you , that I have set before you life and death , blessing and cursing : therefore choose life , that both you and your descendants may live. The Lord would not have called the heavens and the earth if He knew they would not hear Him? We hear through our ears. In Deuteronomy 32 vs 1 , Moses said 'give ear , O heavens, and I will speak; and hear , O earth , the words of my mouth '. Moses knew that heavens and earth has ears . I speak today that the heavens and the earth will begin to favor you in Jesus name, Amen.

Lazarus suddenly fell sick and Jesus was informed . In John 10 vs 11 , Jesus Christ assured his disciples that the sickness was a temporary thing and  it will not lead to death but before you know it , death snatched him away. After 4 days Jesus Christ  decided to visit Lazarus, when He got there , Lazarus was dead . He was not just dead but brain dead for 4 days . When Jesus got to where he was buried , He shouted Lazarus and death heard the voice of Jesus and he released Lazarus. The bible records in John 11 vs 43 that Lazarus came out still bound hand and foot with grave clothes and his face was still wrapped with a cloth.Jesus  later  asked them to loose him and let him go .

Sarah was 90 years old when the Lord visited Abraham. The last thing on her mind was getting pregnant . She actually laughed when the Lord told Abraham in Genesis 18 vs 11 that at the time of Life that she will have a son .She had not menstruated in 25 years besides that , both of them were well advanced in age and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing – Genesis 18 vs 11 . When the Lord told Abraham that Sarah will conceive , he was indirectly speaking to the body of Abraham and Sarah. The body of Sarah that had been sleeping for 25 years  heard the voice of God and everything that had slept  woke up . The body that was considered old at 89 years heard the voice of God and a baby came out of that same body at 90 . She lived for another 31 years after the Lord spoke !Sarah died at the age of 120 – Genesis 23 vs 1 . 

In Mark 4 vs 35 – 40 , Jesus was sleeping when a great windstorm arose and the sea waves began to beat into the boat. The disciples began to panic so they woke Jesus Christ up . When he woke up , he rebuked the wind and and said to the sea , peace be still . The wind heard and was stood still. The bible recorded in Mark 4 vs 39 that the wind ceased and there was a great calm. The wind that was  misbehaving  simply heard the word of God and started behaving itself.I pray that the Lord will rebuke every storm in your life in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen .

The Lord sent a prophet to Bethel to prophesy against an altar. As the man of God was prophesying , King Jeroboam heard the prophecy and stretched out his hand to the man of God saying 'arrest him' , this displeased God .The Most High told Jeroboam's hand to remain stretched until further notice. All effort by Jeroboam to withdraw his hands proved abortive . The bible said in 1 Kings 13 vs 4 that his hand which he stretched against the man of God could not pull back to himself. Thank God for His mercy ,the King pleaded with the man of God and the hand was restored. I pray today that every hand pointing against you will wither in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Nobody prays to be sick for a second talk less of been sick for a week. Everyone loves progress , everyone wants to move from good to better and from better to best .The man at the pool of Bethesda was sick for 38 years and in that 38 year his situation had gone from bad to worse. He was lonely , sick , poor ,unhappy to mention a few .   Everyone who saw him knew that he was suffering, the bible said when Jesus saw him lying there, he knew had been in that condition for so long -John 5 vs 6 . Out of compassion Jesus asked the man , do you want to be made whole ? the man began to explain to Jesus that an angel normally comes from time to time to stir the water. Jesus could not endure this man in his state of pain for another minute so he simple told him to rise and walk . The body that had stopped functioning for over 38 years heard the voice of Jesus and began to function . The situation that had never improved in a long time began to improve. The Man took his bed and walk.I pray today that everything  that has stopped functioning  in your life will begin to function in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
 
Everything the Lord created has ears. Jesus even confirmed that in Matthew 17 vs 20 that we can say to a mountain to move from here to there  and  the mountain would move. This means even mountains have ears too .

 Revelations 4 vs 11 says everything was created for the pleasure of God, Colossians 1 vs 16 says he created everything for Himself.  He can command everything he created to begin to  bless a man and He can also tell them to fight a Man. In 2 Samuel 8 , the armies  of Israel began to fight the servants of David. The Lord commanded the forest to fight on behalf of David. The bible records in 2 Samuel 8 vs 18 that the forest killed more people than the sword devoured.

Matthew 11 vs 15 says He that hath ears, let him hear. Most people say they believe in God but not Jesus. Jesus said in John 10 vs 30 that He and the  Father are one. There is no other way to God except through Jesus. Jesus is the way , the truth and the Life ; no one goes to the Father except through him-John 14 vs 6
 
If you want everything the Lord created to obey you when you speak to them just abide in Jesus, John 15 vs 7 says abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. If you have not giving your life Christ why not do so now. The bible says in Matthew 10 vs 40 that he who receives Jesus receives  God . If anyone refuses Jesus ,he is indirectly telling God you are not welcome. Jesus Christ said in Matthew 12 vs 30 that 'anyone who is not with me is against me'. That is to say anyone who is not with Jesus is against God. He also said anyone who is not gathering with Him is scattering what He has  gathered- Matthew 12 vs 30 . We are either gathering with Jesus  or scattering what Jesus has gathered. We gather with him by witnessing about Him (Jesus) to our friends, families and the whole world. If we choose not to witness about Jesus , we are indirectly sending people away from Christ. Please ask yourself this question , are you gathering with Christ ( preaching the gospel) or  scattering what Christ has gathered ( not preaching the gospel) ? If you have not been preaching the gospel please repent today and start witnessing to people about Christ.

Who is in charge

Brethren , I will like us to think about who is in charge of our life,who is in charge of what comes out of our mouth ,who is in charge of what goes into our ears?

Genesis 39:4 – Joseph found favor in the eyes of Potiphar and he put him in charge of all he had. Genesis 39:7-12 – Potiphar's wife tried to lure Joseph to bed but he refused. Joseph remembered who was in charge , he knew Potiphar was in charge not him that’s why he decided not to touch his wife, we know the end of the story. Looking at the life of David and Saul , we would conclude that David was a beneficiary of divine grace but the truth was David never forgot who was in charge 1 Samuel 24:6-David had the opportunity to kill Saul who was after his life but he refused to kill because Saul was God's anointed. He remembered God was in charge and instead of taking matters into his hands he left it to the Holy One of Israel(God). David will always inquire from God before attending to wars because he knew the one in charge. He remembered he was a only a king of Israel but God is the Redeemer of Israel(Psalm 49:7) .Today we forget who is in charge ,we conclude God is too slow and we decide to help him. We say Heaven helps all those who help themselves, where in the bible is it written heaven helps all those who helps themselves? Isaiah 59:1 – behold, the lords hand is not shortened , that it cannot save nor his ear heavy that it cannot hear.

The One who is in charge is the One who created you, Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed you in the womb I knew you .The One who is in charge gave you that job,gift,opportunity. Ephesians 4:11-and he himself gave some to be apostles,some prophets,some teachers. The job you have is a gift from God so its not nice when you turn up daily for the same job late. It is important that you do the job to his satisfaction instead of complaining of managements. Proverbs 18:16-a mans gift makes room for him, and bring before great men, this is only true when a man uses the gifts , if a man decides to be lazy and sit at home I can guarantee you his gifts will take him no further than the front door of his house. If God has giving you a gift, job or opportunity use it for him and he will make you great. Matthew 25:14-30 clearly talks about the benefits of using the talents God has giving to you.

The one who is in charge is God and when he is in charge you have all to gain . Psalm 84:11 says when he is in charge he will not withhold anything good from you,Exodus 23:22-says when he is in charge your enemies will be his enemies,Exodus 19:5 – says as far as he is in charge you will be his special treasures,Psalm 4:3-says he has set himself apart for those that he is in charge of,Psalm 25:12-13 -says when he is in charge, he will teach you and after that make you prosper and your descendants shall inherit the earth,Jeremiah 7:23-says once you decide to put him in charge all will be well with you,Psalm 25:14- says once he is in charge he will show you his secret, Deuteronomy 28:1-13- says if you choose to put him charge, he will set you high above nations,blessings will begin to run after you,he will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face not your back,the lord will open to you his good treasure, you shall be the head and not the tail.

Brethren if he is in charge you will hate sin,if you are still stealing bin bags from the place of work it is obvious he is not in charge. How can he be in charge and you have an acid tongue,He cannot be in charge when you have refused to forgive and forget. Luke 6:46-but why do you call me Lord,Lord, and do not the things which I say? And what did he say 1 Peter 1:16- be ye holy, for I am holy. It is very important we live a holy life. Several years back , a cousin of mine was running for the post of the senate. He came to us , he promised heaven, he promised to help, he will change this and that. Immediately he got elected , we didn’t see him again, he was gone. No thank you or visit. During the next election he returned with the same promises to change this and that .He told the youths in the community his plans and all that , we all laughed. He forgot those who voted for him the first time, he forgot those whose votes mattered, those who were in charge , you can guess what happened in the next election . You guessed right, no one voted for him. It does not matter how many years we spend on earth , one day we will return to the One who is in charge. A day is coming when we will stand before the throne of judgment, there it does not matter if you are single or married, black or white,rich or poor,employed or unemployed .What will you do when you stand before his throne?

If you have not giving your life to Christ, its not too late brethren .John 3:16 -for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believe him will not die but have an everlasting life. John 15:13-says Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way , the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.1 John 2:23 -Whoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father:but he that acknowledgeth the Son also has the Father.

Please pray this pray with me if you want to give your life to Christ, if you have backslided Jesus wants to take you back .

Lord Jesus, I give myself to You,for You to be my only Lord and Savior. I renounce and repudiate all other loyalties, and I desire no other Lord but You. Please come into me and take control of my life.Mold me to your will and to your use. I ask that you drive out all other spirits which conflict with you in anyway. I want to belong only to you, to be subject only to you. I make this prayer to you, in your name ,the name of Jesus . Amen
