God our Big Daddy

What is the definition of a Daddy, by dictionary definition a Daddy is a father.

By definition a father is one's male parent. I read a poem that describes the Dad in a very lovely way …. A Dad is a person who is loving and kind,

And often he knows what you have on your mind.

He's someone who listens,

suggest and defends.

A Dad can be patient,helpful and strong.

There is a very big difference between a dad and father. In the west today, the concept of dad is missing. Some of us don't understand the meaning of the word dad because we never had dads, we had fathers. We have people who meet our financial needs but who don’t have a clue of whats on our mind,we cant even discuss things with them because they will never understand. In Africa today, we have fathers who have many wives which makes it very hard to be a dad and in the east we have fathers who are dads to the boys and fathers to the girls. It is a shame that the concept of dad is fading away due to financial constraints or social pressures. Sometimes its not the fault of the male parents, some of them need to work long hours to put food on the table. They come back from work tired all they want to do is eat and go to bed only to rise early the next morning to go to work.

A dad provides for the family, 1 timothy 5:8 says if anyone chooses not provide for his own household,he is worse than an unbeliever. When I talk of provision, I am not talking of footing the bills alone but I am talking been there emotional, physically and all. A dad fears the lord -Deuteronomy 6:2;Gives guidance -Proverbs 22:6 says train you child in the way they should go;Don't bully kids -Ephesians 6:4 says do not provoke your children to wrath; Disciplines his kids- Proverbs 13:24 says sparing the rod spoils the child and ,Proverbs 23:13-14 says ensure you correct your child,beating him with a rod saves his /her soul from hell.

I bring to you today the First Daddy -Isaiah 41:4 says he is the first and the last , a Daddy to every other daddies- Acts 3;13 calls him the God of Abraham,Isaac and Jacob,a Daddy to those that don't have dads- Psalm 10:14 calls him the helper of the fatherless, the true Daddy- Psalm 18:2 says he is a rock,fortress , deliverer,a shield ,stronghold,horn of our salvation and who we can trust. Brethren I am talking of a Daddy who can meet needs-Psalm 24:1 says the earth is the lord and the fullness there in. I am sure you want such a Daddy, I am talking of a Daddy who owns all the financial institutions , connections to mention a few- 1 Corinthians 10:26 says he owns the earth and everything in it. A Daddy whose word is tested and tried-Psalm 18:30 says his words are proven.

This brings me to a question, do you know this Daddy, how you met this Daddy, have you accepted him into your life as your personal lord and savior,are you his friend?I am talking about God, he is our Daddy and the only way to make him your Daddy is accept to Jesus christ as your personal lord and savior- John 14:6 says he is the way , the truth and life , no one goes to the father except through him. God wants to save you that is why he sent his only begotten son ( John 3:16) .Jesus wants to save you today and give you life. John 10:10 says thieves come to steal and destroy but Jesus came so that we might have life and have it abundance. If you have not giving your life to Christ , it is not too late . He will forgive all your sins , did I hear ALL ? Yes all .

You can do so now by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is lord . Please pray this prayer with me : Lord Jesus, I give myself to You,for You to be my only Lord and Savior. I renounce and repudiate all other loyalties, and I desire no other Lord but You. Please come into me and take control of my life.Mold me to your will and to your use. I ask that you drive out all other spirits which conflict with you in anyway. I want to belong only to you, to be subject only to you. I make this prayer to you, in your name ,the name of Jesus . Amen .
